For the past few years at cDynamics our scope of work has been steadily expanding within the ship design and simulation segment, and today, 50% of our turnover comes from this area.
This year, we have worked on several different types of vessels - including SAR units, lifeboats and naval vessels - covering phases from concept development to detail design and documentation delivery.
Together with our partner Pioneer Robotics AS, we consist of more than 20 engineers across various engineering disciplines, offering a broad range of capabilities:
● Ship hydrodynamics
• Hull development
• Stability calculations
• CFD analysis
● Ship structural design and analysis for aluminium and composite materials
• Ship structural arrangements
• Global analysis
• Local calculations/scantlings
● Ship design for concept and detail design, class and production drawings (SolidWorks/AutoCad)
• Hull design and line drawings
• Structural design and drawings
• Propulsion arrangements
• Systems engineering (Pioneer Robotics)
• Electrical and instrumentation (Pioneer Robotics)
• Automation and Control Systems (Pioneer Robotics)
• Weight control
• Communication and interface with class society and maritime authorities.
● CAD/PDM Data management and workflow
• SolidWorks PDM hosting on local server
• External access via VPN tunnel
• Separated project vaults; dedicated PDM Vaults can be established per project with full access and data control
• Nightly backup to an external location
• PDM Admin servicesOur deliveries range from sub-tasks and isolated assignments to complete engineering project execution. We’re always interested in hearing about your projects and requirements, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need support and progress on your ship design project.
